Before You Start...

1.  Use these instructions to install/upgrade MMS - Media Management System.

2.  The "MMS for IBM i for Power" download contains the following products:

	a.	9000	-	MMS	- Media Management System
	b.	9110	- 	MMS/tms	- MMS Tape Management
	c.	9120	-	MMS/bms	- MMS Backup and Recovery
	d.	9130	-	MMS/cms - MMS Vault Management

Download MMS - Media Management System
----------------

1.  Download MMS - Media Management System from the LXI Website Downloads page.

2.  Move the downloaded file (MMS0090) to a save file on the IBM IBM i (using FTP or similar method).

Install LXI Base
----------------

1.  Prompt (F4) the Restore License Program (RSTLICPGM) command and enter the following parameter values:

	a.  LICPGM:		0MMS400
	b.  DEV:		*SAVF
	c.  OPTION:		*BASE
	d.  SAVF		(The save file that you put the product into.)

2.  Press Enter.

3.  When complete, continue with the next step.

Install MMS - Media Management System
-------------------------

1.  Prompt (F4) the Restore License Program (RSTLICPGM) command and enter the following parameter values:

	a.  LICPGM:		0MMS000
	b.  DEV:		*SAVF
	c.  OPTION:		*BASE
	d.  SAVF		(The save file that you put the product into.)

2.  Press Enter.

3.  Ensure that subsystem QLXI is started.  If not, type STRSBS LXI/QLXI and press Enter.

4.  When complete, type GO LXITMS/LXITMS on the command line and press Enter.
